In 2025, through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando, MIA•MIA was selected as a semifinalist for Walmart's Road to Open Call, and we had the chance to present our products to Walmart executives.
What is Walmart's Open Call?
Open Call is Walmart's program to find products made, grown or assembled in the United States. It is part of Walmart's commitment to support U.S. manufacturing and give small businesses a path to its shelves. The Road to Open Call events help local businesses prepare and pitch.
Pitching MIA•MIA
At the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, we sat down with the Walmart team to share who we are: a family business that personalizes medical ID and keepsake jewelry in our own Florida studio. We showed our pieces, talked about how we make them and why they matter to the people who wear them.
For a business that started at home, sitting across the table from Walmart was a moment we will always be proud of.
