How to measure your wrist for a medical ID bracelet
A good fit keeps your ID where responders can see it and comfortable enough to wear every day. It takes one minute with a string or a strip of paper.
Measure your wrist
- Wrap a piece of string, a phone charger cable or a strip of paper around your wrist, just above the wrist bone, where you'd wear the bracelet.
- Mark where the end meets. Keep it snug, not tight.
- Measure the length with a ruler or tape measure (or use the printable ruler below).
- Add comfort: add about ½ inch for a snug fit or ¾ to 1 inch for a looser fit. That total is your bracelet length.
Which fit is right for you?
| Wrist | Snug | Comfort |

| 5.5 in | 6 in | 6.25–6.5 in |
| 6 in | 6.5 in | 6.75–7 in |

| 7 in | 7.5 in | 7.75–8 in |
| 7.5 in | 8 in | 8.25–8.5 in |

Fit by bracelet style
Adjustable chain & mesh
Slide or clasp to your size. Great if you're between sizes or share the bracelet with family.
Elastic & stretch
No clasp to open, easy to put on with one hand. Good for kids and anyone with limited hand movement.
Silicone & sport
Comfortable for sleep, sweat and water. Choose a snug fit so it doesn't slide over your hand.
Cuffs
Open on one side and bend gently to your wrist. Measure and go for a comfort fit.

Kids
Measure every few months; children grow fast. Elastic and adjustable bands grow with them.
