This Medical ID Privacy Policy & Terms of Use ("Policy") applies to all Mia.Mia Brand Inc medical identification products that use QR codes and/or NFC technology ("Medical ID Products").

Purpose of the Medical ID

Mia.Mia Medical ID Products are designed to provide quick access to important personal, medical, and emergency contact information in situations where the wearer may not be able to communicate effectively.

These products are intended solely as an informational tool and do not replace professional medical care, emergency response services, or official medical records.

How the QR and NFC System Works

Upon the first scan of the QR code or the first NFC tap, users are directed to a secure digital platform where they can create an account and enter their information.

After the initial setup, subsequent scans or taps will display the information provided by the user. To edit or update information, users must log in through the official access portal provided by MiaMia.

User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing maintenance of the information they provide.

Mia.Mia does not verify, monitor, or update user-provided information. It is the user's responsibility to ensure all data remains current and correct.

Data Storage and Third-Party Platform

Mia.Mia Medical ID digital profiles are powered by a third-party technology provider (QRCodeChimp).

Information entered by users is stored and managed through QRCodeChimp’s secure infrastructure and is subject to their data protection and security practices.

Mia.Mia does not store, access, or control user medical data outside of what is necessary to provide customer support.

Privacy and Security

Mia.Mia is committed to protecting user privacy. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.

By using a Mia.Mia Medical ID Product, users acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with storing and sharing information digitally.

HIPAA Disclaimer

Mia.Mia Medical ID Products and associated digital profiles are not intended to be HIPAA-compliant medical record systems.

Users should not upload highly sensitive medical documents or information they do not wish to be accessible in emergency situations.

Emergency Use Disclaimer

Mia.Mia does not guarantee that emergency responders will scan or rely on the Medical ID information.

Mia.Mia is not responsible for actions taken or not taken by third parties who view the information provided.

Limitation of Liability

Mia.Mia shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Medical ID Products or associated digital profiles.

Consent

By activating, scanning, or using a Mia.Mia Medical ID Product, users confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Privacy Policy & Terms of Use.

Continued use of the Medical ID Products constitutes ongoing acceptance of these terms.
